I have been researching and practicing natural and holistic health throughout my personal and professional life. Although as a young child I experienced visions, heard voices of animals, and what others deemed “the Scottish Sixth Sense” early in life, for many years channeling, insights and spiritual practice were set aside for various reasons, and I’m sure if you’re reading this web site you’re familiar with various of them. As a musician, piano teacher and physical therapist working with movement disorders, moving energy has been the water I swim in and quite natural. Since learning Reiki in 2005, discovery and growth has been like Rabbit’s movement—periods of stillness followed by rapid running and occasional leaps.
Reiki has been a gateway to discovering how to allow and move energy, channel Spirit and Spirit’s Divine Love, and to feel into the brain and body for healing. During a Reiki share in 2013, I began felt the physical structures of the brain in my hands. I had felt for several years that when I worked with brain injured or impaired patients that if I could just open some time with my hands on a person’s head, I could assist in reconnecting and restructuring connections to help them speak, move, bring them out. That moment of feeling my friend’s brain was confirmation to me that Spirit could use me for this.
As I worked on others and continued my physical therapy career, I was blessed to meet my husband Tom Bishop. Working with him and alongside him has brought me more teachers, learning and guides than I could ever dream of and this web site is a way to reach more people in need.
